About
Arche Modular is one person in Indiana with an electronics background, a breadboard that has been in the same configuration for longer than intended, and an interest in the point where music theory and circuit design turn out to be the same problem.
Arche is from the Greek for origin, or first principle. It seemed like the right word for a shop whose public output is mostly explanation.
What this site is for
Two things. It is where the modules get documented as they are designed, and it is where I write down the things I had to find out the hard way, so that the next person does not have to.
The second part matters more to me than it probably should. Eurorack DIY has excellent resources for circuits and almost none for everything surrounding them — power, panels, tooling, and the specific ways cheap test equipment misleads you. That gap is where most people give up.
Selling things
Nothing is for sale yet, and I am not taking preorders or deposits. If any of these become products it will happen slowly, starting with the boring utilities, and it will be announced here first.
